Parish Office Administrator
- 17.5 hours part-time per week (During School Hours)
- This position is paid Level 2 - $26.16 - $26.67

About the opportunity:
As a vital member of our team, you will collaborate under the guidance of the Minister Rector to foster connections within our church community and the local area. Working alongside the Parish Office Manager, you will facilitate engagement between church groups, parishioners, and the wider community, encouraging active participation.
Your role involves serving as a welcoming and efficient point of contact through various channels, coordinating hall rentals, and managing invoicing. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in preparing resources for services and events, liaising with clergy and various teams. Managing the church's online presence is a key responsibility, including updating social media accounts and the website, as well as creating promotional materials such as flyers. Your commitment to safe ministry practices, adherence to safety policies, and assistance in grant applications for church outreach initiatives are integral aspects of this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed by the incumbent, clergy, or wardens/minister council.

Essential requirements
- Experience in an administration role or similar
- Well-developed written & verbal communication skills
- Good time management & organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Proficiency in MS Office suite of products as well as experience in database & record management
- Event management skills
- Sound understanding of WH&S compliance
- Capacity to support the Parish’s inclusive Anglican ethos
Desirable
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Experience with Xero, Squarespace, Mail Chimp and managing social media
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation
The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check and Safe Ministry Training.
