About the role
This role is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and development of public open spaces, including the Cemetery. Working within a team but also alone for long periods, duties will include:
- Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of open spaces and the cemetery by completing lawn and garden maintenance (mowing, trimming, fertilising and weed control).
- Installing and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems and park furniture
- Collecting of refuse, pruning and removals of trees & shrubs.
- Operation of plant including a 3.5 tonne excavator to dig graves as required
- Undertaking grave restoration work including removing soil filling hollows, laying turf and spreading lawn seed
- Maintenance of small plant

So what do you need?
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- NSW General Construction Inductions Card (White Card)
- Chemcert AQF3 Chemical Accreditation or similar
- Experience in open space maintenance including the experience in plant operation and maintenance.
- Preferably some experience in the operation of excavators
