Title: Parking Officer, Permanent - Full-time Role, 38 hours per week
Salary Range: $61,128.86 to $71,041.68 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)
50% penalty in addition to the ordinary hourly rate of pay for work on a Saturday and a 100% penalty in addition to the ordinary hourly rate of pay for work on a Sunday

As a member of the Ranger Team you will ensure contribute to the safety and protection of the Northern Beaches community by providing an efficient and effective service consistent with the enforcement of relevant legislation (particularly the NSW Road Rules 2014) and Council policies relating to the safe, proper and lawful use of roads, parking areas and on street parking. Reporting to the Coordinator, the Parking Officer will provide the community with a high quality, accurate and professional customer service in accordance with Council values and community expectations.

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include:
- To carry out patrols and enforce compliance of on street parking legislation including school safety zones, residential zones, and all time limited and metered parking areas within the Northern Beaches Council area.
- To enforce legislation and Council policies, provide information to the public and staff, issue penalty notices and attend court proceeding when required
- To provide assistance to Police, other authorities, beach inspectors and staff in the enforcement of legislation relating to parking matters.
