The Opportunity
This position is the administrator for the Patient Administrative Information Systems (primarily Hospital Based Corporate Information (HBCIS) for THHS maintaining system management for eight (8) HBCIS accounts across the Health Service. The position also identifies, develops, co-ordinates and delivers effective staff training and awareness programs relating to HBCIS.
This position works closely with and supports the ESM Site Specialist position regarding the administration of the ESM system, the effective use of ESM and provides subject matter expertise to the ieMR team with regards to ESM training to improve patient information integrity.
The position provides expert legislative knowledge and support to users throughout THHS to optimise business intelligence for the Health Service with regards to HBCIS and ESM.
Employment Status
- Fixed Term Temporary full-time, commencing 13/03/2023 up to 07/04/2024.
- There are no mandatory qualifications or requirements for this position. However, an education or training qualification would be highly desirable.
- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Demonstrate high level knowledge and experience of applications and software utilised by Queensland Health, particularly in the management, administration and technical aspects of the main patient administration system (Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS)) and Enterprise Scheduling Management System (ESM).
- Demonstrate high level understanding of the legislation and guidelines that affect inpatient and outpatient services within the Health Service.
- Comprehensive understanding of adult learning principles and ability to develop training and education packages, that meet THHS organisational requirements, in a complex clinical work environment.
- High level of conceptual and innovative skills to effectively organise, coordinate, deliver and prioritise training for HBCIS.
- Demonstrate a high level of negotiating, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines and be an effective member of a team to provide an effective customer focused service.

- Salary range of $3125.20 to $3443.10 p.f. (AO4)
