St John WA offers a varied Patient Transfer Service with specialised staff and volunteers that place an emphasis on customer care and service. We offer a quality and competitive service responding to pre-booked and on demand calls. We work in the public and private sectors, in partnership with local hospitals, medical centres and care facilities, as well as the general public.
The Patient Transfer Services Coordinator/Call Taker will be joining our fast paced and busy Patient Transfer Services team in our State Office Belmont on Casual basis. You will answer high volumes of calls and liaise with customers, family members, service providers and carers to ensure that customers receive the transport services they require on a day-to-day basis.
What you’ll do:
- Support the delivery of Patient Transfer and Community Transport Services providing administration and support services daily
- Receive and progress incoming transport bookings and answer general enquiries with a customer service focus
- Answer high volumes of calls and general enquiries from customers
- Ensure booking details are recorded and progressed for scheduling. This includes negotiating bookings with customers to maximise efficiencies
- Utilise problem solving skills and initiative to ensure that the community transport service goals are met
- Provide a high level of customer service by treating all stakeholders with respect, undertake client visits as required.
What you’ll need:
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office suite applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience working in a call centre or similar environment
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- The ability to problem solve and think on your feet
- Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills
