Payroll Advisor

* ASIC is seeking a full time Payroll Advisor to join their People and Development Team
* Salary starting from $72,921 depending on experience (plus up to 15.4% superannuation)
* Temporary 18-months fixed term position based in Brisbane

The team
People & Development (P&D) are responsible for delivering people initiatives that are aligned with business strategy. The team delivers initiatives, advice and services that support Senior Executives, Managers and team members during their careers with ASIC.
The People & Pay Services team is the first port of call for advice around people, processes, policies and pay. The team works collaboratively to process the fortnightly payroll and to educate ASIC on all things Remuneration, including superannuation and salary packaging.
The role
* Process timely and accurate pay and entitlements in accordance with legislation and policy.
* Provide quality advice and customer support to ASIC team members and managers through the People & Pay Services advice line and email.
* Work collaboratively with P&D colleagues, using your expertise to provide calculations and advice.
About you
* Demonstrated experience processing payroll.
* Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy.
* Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, meet tight timeframes, manage competing demands, and maintain confidentiality.
* Proficient in the use of Human Resources / Payroll Information Systems.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
* Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication, with proven accuracy and attention to detail skills.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships with the stakeholders.
* Demonstrated proficiency in MS / M365 Suite of applications including SharePoint Online.
