We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HR Admin Assistant, with a strong focus on payroll, to join our client's vibrant team at their head office in Mile End. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy retail environment and is looking to grow their career in payroll management within Human Resources.

The Role: In this role, your primary responsibility will be supporting the Human Resources department with HR Administration duties and supporting payroll. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the complete payroll process from start to finish when payroll officer on leave and supporting in peak times.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Assisting in maintaining employee records, ensuring all payroll-related data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries related to payroll.
  • Supporting the HR team with onboarding, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Handling confidential information with the utmost discretion.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong experience in payroll administration within an HR setting.
  • Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Familiarity with payroll software and systems.
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
