My client is a leading national technology company, offering cutting edge cloud-based and AI solutions to a range of customers. This company is his role is a Senior Payroll Officer on a part time basis. It would suit someone who wants to work school hours, 28 hours a week across 5 days. This role is based in Wollongong and offers work from home 1 day a week.
The role
- Processing end to end payroll on a weekly and monthly all staff for 125 employeeds
- Process accurately in accordance with Enterprise Agreement, contracts and company policies and procedures
- High level customer service to all employees
- Building strong working relationships with HR and Finance
- Review and coding of timesheet
- Maintenance and payment to external organisations of all related employee deductions (Ie Garnishee orders, Centrelink, Debt Recovery services
- Reconciliation and recovery of workers compensation payment
- End of Month Reporting and Headcount reporting
- Superannuation Monthly Reconciliation and uploa
- Calculation and payment of employee increases, commissions, overtime, back pays and other payments as required
- Rconciliation of all payroll related functions including quarterly superannuation requirement
- Updating and maintenance of payroll system history and records
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to the business on the appropriate application of industrial instruments to the payroll function.
- Maintaining the integrity of the payroll system and associated processes through accurate and complete administrative and payroll processes, data entry, record keeping and document management.
- Management of new starters and leavers employee life cycle through HRIS and Payroll systems.
- Ensure a fair and consistent approach to payroll related enquiries and advice
The requirements
- End to end payroll processing, ideally in a standalone capacity
- Some understanding of HR life cycle - Probation letters, contracts, letters etc
- Experience with EA's and otherwise interpretation of industrial instruments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Able to work part time across 5 days (flexible working hours)
- Experience with Keypay highly regarded but not essential
