Payroll Coordinator | Silverwater | Full Time

The Role 

We have a Payroll Coordinator position based in our Silverwater office reporting into the Head of People & Culture and working across Monday to Friday. This role will see you responsible for ensuring employees are pain in line with the businesses timeframes and supporting both the People & Culture and Operational Support Teams. 

The Tasks  

• Actioning of all direct staff terminations submitted by managers 
• Pay adjustments are implemented including corrections, bonuses, incentives, backpay and manual leave adjustments.
• Managing payroll enquiries within 24 hours or prior to next payroll adjustment deadline.
• Fortnightly payroll processing and closing the period, ensuring all files for payroll are correct and sent within designated time frames.
• Review and processing of all motor vehicle allowances, overpayments, annual leave cash outs or dedications including issuing letters for overpayments and sending through to for processing.
• Clearing timesheet and leave exceptions via WFS daily to ensure minimal disruption to payroll processing.
• Completing leave reviews to ensure accruals are accurate 
• Pay period close reporting on head count, pay adjustments, hours worked and other items within payroll.
• Actioning employee change requests with regards to bank accounts, superannuation changes, tax changes and or pay slip enquiries.
• Adherence to all statutory requirements.
• Assisting with Audits as required.

The Successful Candidate  

• Demonstrated prior experience in payroll preparation activity 
• Understanding of current Australian Payroll legislation
• Ability to work under pressure of time contraints and ability to prioritise payroll queries
• Proven experience with WorkForce (WFS) and Xemplo (HRIS) desirable
• Strong analytical and problem solving experience
