Position details
· Clerk Grade 1 / 2 – Opportunity to develop your payroll skills
· Temporary position – up to 18 months with possibility of extension
· Close to transport & hybrid work arrangements available
About the role
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) works with the NSW community to drive improvements in student achievement.
We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator, to work closely with the wider payroll team to provide administrative support services to enable to efficient operation of the payroll team.
Utilising your working knowledge of payroll, you will be responsible for:
· Providing administrative support the Payroll team as required;
· Entering employee onboarding and related information into the payrolls system
· Inputting timesheets accurately for payment
· Responding to enquiries and requests for information in a timely manner, escalating as required
· Updating records and databases, complying with records management processes, to ensure information is accurate
Utilising your knowledge of payroll through study, or having previous payroll experience, you will have a a desire to grow your skills in a busy payroll department. Being familiar with payroll related legislation and having the ability to read and interpret Awards is desirable. You’ll also be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to meet deadlines or escalate as required
- Have a strong eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Being able to work remotely, independently and also part of a team
