The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, located in North Strathfield.
You will be joining a collaborative and supportive, geographically dispersed team and be accountable for the full function processing of the payrolls for our Shepparton VIC and Marleston SA plants.
The Accountabilities
Management and end to end processing of company payrolls considering compliance with Enterprise Agreements, Awards and Fair Work legislation
Completion of all payroll activities related to the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including complex termination calculations and estimates
Administration, compliance and reporting of all statutory obligations, including superannuation and, Workers Compensation
Interaction with employees, leaders, union representative and People & Culture colleagues on payroll queries and issue resolution
Participation in internal and external supplier, auditor, or other payroll related audits
Assist with the mentoring and growth of the payroll assistant
The Ingredients for Success
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:
Minimum 5 years end to end Australian Payroll experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships
Innate ability to build rapport across all levels with a strong ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Comprehensive working knowledge of industrial instruments, employment legislation and payroll related statutory requirements.
Preceda and Kronos experience is desirable but not essential
