Our client is a well known Australian retail brand, looking for a new Payroll Manager to join their team. The organization are currently preparing to undergo implementation of a new in-house payroll system and are looking for an experienced payroll officer to support this process whilst processing end to end payroll for existing employees. This role will be best suited to someone who is proactive, enjoys challenges and has great attention to detail. This will be a standalone role, however working in a supportive finance team.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring End to end payroll is processed in a timely manner
- Payroll compliance reporting and analysis
- Interpreting modern awards, specifically the General Retail Industry Award
- Complete Payroll-related reconciliations
- Completing lodgments of PAYG and STP
- Provide payroll system training for employees
- Support rolling out new Payroll system in partnership with HR
- Identify process improvements
- End to end payroll experience
- Strong background using large payroll systems, having ADP is an advantage
- Experience interpreting moderns awards
- Experience managing payroll implementation and integration projects is ideal but not essential
- A hands on and proactive attitude to support the payroll function
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
