Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48 hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School is the oldest private boys’ school in Western Australia, with a current enrolment of 1,579 students and 685 staff.
As a member of the School’s Finance Department, the Payroll Officer shares responsibility for the end-to-end processing of employee salaries and superannuation. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the Human Resources Office, the Payroll Officer will assist staff and management with all payroll-related queries. They will maintain the accuracy and integrity of the payroll system and ensure that practices are current and efficient.
For this role, you will need:
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of computerised accounting systems.
- Experience processing payroll for approximately 650 staff.
- Excellent computer skills, including Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Experience in interpreting awards and enterprise agreements.
Desirable:
- Prior experience with Synergetic
- Prior experience in School environments
Other requirements include:
- Holding a current Working with Children Check and a National Police Clearance
