About the Role:
As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing weekly payroll for employees across the group using M1 (manufacturing industry software) and Xero. You will also be responsible for the documentation for onboarding and offboarding employees. This position requires high attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll functions, particularly within the construction industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain accurate HR and payroll records.
- Prepare the weekly payroll from start to finish for the manufacturing (M1) and construction (Xero) divisions.
- Manage intricate aspects such as EBA allowances, Child Support payments, Payroll Tax calculations, EBA contributions, and Super contributions.
- Interpretation of EBAs and Awards
- Assist with documentation for onboarding, and offboarding employees.
- Ensure all documentation and registers are meticulously maintained in accordance with ISO standards.
- Remaining informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations and ensuring compliance.
- Generation of reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
About You:
- Minimum 80+ payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in payrolla .
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Sound knowledge of accounting software, preferably Xero or MYOB.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to take a hands-on approach as needed.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Payroll functions including Child Support and Payroll Tax Payments.
