Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Service Provision:
End-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll for 1500 employees
Prepare and lodge payroll reports, meeting all deadlines
Accurately complete electronic timesheet and leave reconciliations
Process new hires and terminations, ensuring accurate final payments
Maintain confidential and current electronic payroll records
Resolve payroll discrepancies in consultation with the payroll manager
Address payroll enquiries via MyPortal, providing timely feedback
Payroll Reporting:
Assist with end-of-month and end-of-financial-year payroll procedures and reporting
Ensure compliance with superannuation fund selection and employee contributions
Compliance:
Adhere to payroll legislation and company policies
Provide advice on payroll-related acts, awards, and agreements
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement payroll process improvements
Contribute to payroll system development
About You:
Essential:
Working knowledge of Chris 21 or similar payroll systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office
High-level interpersonal and communication skills
Strong customer service experience
Knowledge of payroll tax legislation, superannuation, FBT, and workers compensation
Desirable:
Understanding of awards, Enterprise Agreements, and HR governance
Special Conditions:
Flexible hours with some after-hours work as required.
Occasional intra and interstate travel.
Initial and subsequent medical clearances, including relevant immunisations.
Clearance checks may include a criminal police check, traffic check, Working with Children, and/or Working with Vulnerable People.
