ABOUT US
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Payroll Officer who carries a passion for payroll to join a progressive Agribusiness team. Southern Cross Farms is an innovative farm management company based in Mildura, with several production sites across several states all with various commodities.
We are looking for someone who has experience in end-to-end payroll processing and to form a pivotal part of the finance team in our Mildura Office. Attention to detail is essential for this role. The role on offer is on a part-time basis of 3 days or 24 hours per week.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Payroll Officer you will be responsible for duties such as:
- End to end payroll processing for fortnightly and weekly pay schedules.
- End of month payroll balancing and reporting, including superannuation, payroll tax and BAS submissions
- End of Financial Year reconciliation.
- Maintain HR personnel data and ensure payroll systems are up to date and reflect current fair work conditions.
- Assist Farm Managers with advice on payroll matters.
- Reconciliation & management of xero files.
- Accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions.
- Preparing and uploading bank payment files.
- Preparing and issuing sales invoices.
- Cash flow understanding and monitoring.
- Preparation of internal and external reports as required.
- Assist the finance team produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables and expenses.
- Assists and monitors all bank reports/statements.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as PAYROLL OFFICER or similar role. Minimum 3 years
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, payroll software Xero and Employment Hero
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail essential.
- Exposure in analysis of financial data
REMUNERATION
A competitive remuneration package will be offered subject to the applicants’ experience, skills and qualifications.
