About the role
Working as part of a large team to ensure HammondCares fortnightly payroll is processed on time with the highest level of detail by proactively maintaining accurate up to date payroll record systems and databases. The role also ensures that HammondCare meets legislative requirements and complies with relevant Award and Enterprise Agreement determinations.
This is a permanent full-time role based at various locations within New South Wales. We value our team and offer flexible working from home options.
Key Responsibilities include
- Answering all payroll enquiries in an appropriate and timely manner
- Providing reports to management
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes with respect to the payment and taxation of wages/salaries
- Contribute to ensuring HammondCare is meeting legislative requirements through the deduction and remittance of PAYG tax, Superannuation Guarantee and salary sacrifice contributions, and other payroll deductions required as per legislation, staff contracts and requests
- Maintaining payroll compliance with relevant Award and Agreement determinations
- Processing new employee records in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensuring employee leave balances reflect up-to-date balances
- Overpayment recovery action and documentation
- Assist in maintaining good relationships with external suppliers, including Frontier Software, and GoSalary Salary Packaging
About You
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCares Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- At least 2 years demonstrated experience in a payroll capacity
- Experience in ichris / chris21 is highly regarded
- Strong administrative and computer skills including Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathy and patience
- Ability to pay high attention to detail and accurate data entry
- Kronos experience is a plus!
