About the opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their well-established Finance team.
Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll
- Bonus calculations
- Workcover calculations in each state
- Payroll Journals Data for accounts to process
- Maintain employee cost centres in ADP
- Maintain employee work patterns in ADP
- Maintain STP reporting and complete annual reconciliations
- Pass Withholding Tax information to account for payment
- Pass ADP invoice on to accounts for processing
- Reconcile payment to payroll e.g. Employee Pay, Super etc
- Ad-Hoc Termination Payments in line with ATO, award, contract and fair work
- Calculate Back Payments
- Calculate Accruals for overtime, casuals, and new starters
- Provide login information and perform password resets
- Ensure leave is entered and approved in ADPProvide Leave balance reports to managers
- Compile December leave report for managers
- Ensure Workcover Payments are matched to Workcover received
- Assist with ad-hoc payroll queries
- Upload annual FBT information to ADP
- Correctly calculate foreign income and foreign tax
- Remain up to date on payroll developments and advise of any changes impacting the business
- Assist with LSL calculation
- Assist with AL journals
- Previous ADP knowledge and experience highly desirable
- Capability to come into the office once a month
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in Payroll
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated skills in computer applications including Microsoft office
