About the Role:
Workpac is excited to present a unique opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our esteemed client in the resources sector for a 3-6 month duration. As a Payroll Officer based in Perth, you will be reporting directly to the Payroll Superintendent, whilst playing a pivotal role in supporting the Payroll team and contribute to the seamless operation of payroll processes. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check weekly, fortnightly, or monthly timesheets, ensuring correct input into SAP for payment.
- Process leave applications and other payroll-related documents as required.
- Calculate payments for leave and final payments on termination.
- Ensure accurate remittance of tax and other employee deductions.
- Reconcile payroll runs and generate reports on results.
- Resolve/answer queries relating to payroll from relevant stakeholders across the business
Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in payroll, preferably in the mining and resources industry.
- SAP HR/Payroll experience highly regarded.
- Well-developed computer skills, including proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate within the team and with external stakeholders.
- Mandatory WA Driver's License.
