The Role: Payroll Officer

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Officer. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring the accurate payment of employee salaries and entitlements, and being the first point of queries. In addition, the role will support the broader HR function regarding projects and continuous improvement.
This is a full time role based in our new office on Kings Park Road
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner.
- Calculate wages, deductions, and adjustments ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Verify timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant documentation.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in aprofessional and timely manner.
- Prepare payroll reports for management review.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including quarterly and annual report preparation
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in payroll software.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
