The Payroll Officer plays a key role in efficiently and accurately managing payroll processes within RHC. This encompasses processing employee compensation, maintaining comprehensive payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service for payroll-related inquiries. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as HR, finance, and IT, the Payroll Officer ensures the seamless integration of payroll processes and accurate reporting.
Key Accountabilities
- Collate and compile employee time and attendance data efficiently.
- Precisely calculate wages, salaries, overtime, bonuses, and other forms of compensation.
- Input payroll data into the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Verify and reconcile payroll information to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to all pertinent labour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Generate and distribute pay slips, tax forms, and other payroll-related documents.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Engage actively in cross-functional projects that encompass payroll data or processes.
- Established proficiency in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Thorough knowledge of payroll regulations, employment tax laws, and statutory requirements.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processing and reviewing payroll data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies or issues.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Uphold strong ethics and integrity when handling confidential payroll information.
