You'll collaborate closely with a longstanding Payroll Officer who is transitioning to part-time but will be available for ongoing support within a vibrant and flexible work environment. This opportunity not only provides stability but also encourages growth and development in your payroll career.
Reporting directly to the Finance manager, your responsibilities include:
- Manage the end-to-end fortnightly payroll process for 400 employees, encompassing casual, full-time, and part-time staff.
- Process timesheets using MicroPay and maintain fortnightly salary variations, including allowances, commencements, terminations, leave, and related details.
- Prepare accurate reports, correspondence, and handle other administrative tasks associated with fortnightly payroll functions.
- Calculate and lodge monthly superannuation payments, including new employee notifications, terminations, and reconciliation of superannuation reports.
- Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements (EA).
- Assist with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable duties one day per week.
About you:
- Previous experience in a payroll role, with proficiency in MicroPay or similar payroll software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within the finance team and across departments.
- Understanding of EA interpretation and application in a payroll context is advantageous.
