Join our dynamic Finance Team as a Payroll Officer! Under the guidance of our Payroll Manager, we seek a positive, self-motivated individual to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely payroll services for approximately 1000 employees.
The Role
As part of this team, you will be involved in the processing of the fortnightly payroll and will provide advice and service to your internal customers by responding to payroll enquiries and employee changes from all areas of the organisation.
This full-time, permanent position is for a team-orientated and enthusiastic Payroll Officer who enjoys diversity in their job and working with systems and people.
About You
- Minimum of 3 years of end-to-end payroll experience.
- Well-developed computer skills with a high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with time and attendance systems is preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret enterprise agreements and federal awards.
- Experience with the settlement of monthly payroll obligations, including PAYG income tax withholding, superannuation, and child support.
- Competency with Single Touch Payroll obligations and end-of-financial-year reporting to the Australian Taxation Office.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting demands.
- Strong aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail, and providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated resilience in handling challenges and adapting to changes in a fast-paced environment.
