Payroll Officer

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team and help us deliver accurate and timely payroll services in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for maintaining payroll records, preparing payroll reports, and managing payroll tax compliance.

Delivering exceptional service to our employees to ensure the smooth operation of our payroll department processing multiple pay runs for over 5,500 employees. 

Your contributions

• End-to-end payroll processing of any of the weekly, fortnightly, monthly pay runs.
• Completing day-to-day transactional payroll data entry, data verification and successful delivery of all aspects of payroll as directed.
• Responding to employee queries and ensuring compliance with SLA.
• Developing sound knowledge of Peregrine policies and procedures, industrial awards and agreements and reverent legislation.
• Interpreting awards and agreements to facilitate accurate payroll delivery.
• Complete complex back pays calculations and LSL reconciliations.

What we are looking for

• 3 - 5 years payroll experience, in a large corporate environment
• Sound understanding of Payroll Legislation
• Ability to interpret numerous awards and agreements.
• Experience in processing high volume pay runs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with advanced Excel abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
