Job Summary
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, as one of our integral Payroll Officers in a medium sized team, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate processing of company payrolls (5000 staff on a fortnightly pay basis)!

Experience and Competencies
- Payroll experience is absolutely essential!! A minimum of 2 years is preferrable
- A team player who can be productive with minimum supervision
- Ensure that business communication is actioned as appropriated
- Stakeholder focused with the ability to build strong relationships
- Attention to detail is paramount
- Ability to interpret employment agreements - you need to know!!!
- Complete required tasks in an accurate and timely manner
- Accounting Knowledge - a basic understanding is essential
- Microsoft Office (Excel reporting) skills required
- Pay Global experience preferable
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Full end to end payroll processinging
- Assist with interpretation and implementation of changes in employment instruments and legislative requirements
- Assist with system implementations and updates
- Assist with development and documentation of robust payroll system & processes
- Manage payroll filing and archiving
- Assist with payroll queries
- Payroll preparation for fortnightly pay run
- Responding to payroll queries in a timely manner
- Processing Workers Compensation claims and payment
- Processing of monthly journals where required
- Payroll General Ledger reconciliations
- Lodging of company returns with relevant payroll government agencies (including ATO, IRD, Payroll Tax and Superannuation)
- Other duties as requested
