AddressMt Cuthbert Group is involved in the Mining & Resource sector with a number of projects operating in North West Queensland including the Rocklands site near Cloncurry and our Mt Cuthbert site near Kajabbi. We require the expertise of an experienced Payroll / Finance Officer who thrives on diversity and perfection.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Payroll / Finance Officer is responsible for assisting with payroll, accounts payable and administrative services to support operations Mt Cuthbert Resources at our two sites in NW QLD, Townsville and Adelaide head office.
About you
Working Monday to Friday in our Townsville office (with some site travel required), the role will involve the following:
- Work with the Company Accountant in the processing of fortnightly payroll for up to 250 staff
- Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly / annual payroll related reports.
- Assist in the monitoring of purchasing, payroll, and accounts inbox for new requests and enquiries processing them in a timely manner.
- Perform general administrative duties such as, but not limited to, mail sorting, filing, scanning, photocopying, data collection, data entry, distribution and archiving.
- Provide support to management and staff on payroll and accounts matters
- Work within a team environment to support business operations including Accounts Payable
- Perform general administrative duties such as, but not limited to, mail sorting, filing, scanning, photocopying, data collection, data entry, distribution and archiving.
The desired candidate will have the following:
- 1-3 years of demonstrated Finance / Payroll experience, including proven experience in a fast paced environment and ideally with the mining industry award
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Outstanding oral & written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, work to deadlines and remain effective under pressure
- Resources Industry experience desirable
