We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team.
As the Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate weekly payroll processing, management of employee onboarding and termination, and handling payroll enquiries.
You'll also be responsible for managing statutory obligations including Payroll Tax, Long Service Leave and Superannuation.
With regard to flexibility, as this is a new role which we see evolving with the business, we are open to candidates seeking part time employment (32 hours per week), as well as candidates seeking full time employment.
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience processing payroll (Tanda experience highly regarded).
- Experience with award interpretation.
- Experience processing and reconciling superannuation and PAYG tax.
- Experience reconciling a payroll GL account.
- Experience managing all tasks involving terminations/resignations.
- Experience preparing and processing EOFY for payroll.
- A high level of customer service skills with a proven track record in building relationships at all levels.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, procedures and reporting requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel Skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Highly Regarded:
- Experience processing a pay run for more than 150 employees.
- Manufacturing experience and experience processing overtime, shift penalties and apprenticeship wages.
This role will also be responsible for assisting AP with administration support when not processing payroll. These tasks will include but may not be limited to emails management, AP documents printing and organising for AP to enter into the system.
