About The Role
The Payroll Systems Officer will maintain a collaborative relationship with our outsource provider, ensuring the payroll software setup aligns with Thiess’ organisational structure, enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs), pay rules, and reporting requirements.
Liaise with the Outsource Provider regarding system setups and maintenance for new and existing projects. Ensure pay rules (award interpretation), rates, and allowances are updated per EBAs. Test payroll system functionality for new releases and developments, implement organization structure changes and amendments to oncost rates, and maintain the HRIS tool. Additionally, perform ad hoc report writing, update and maintain the Oracle BR100 masterfile document, and provide data extracts as requested by auditors.
Serve as the Thiess Super User for Oracle and Preceda, liaising with the CIMIC/CPB Super User and managing OpCo Super User Governance. Manage the change request process by collaborating with internal stakeholders and actively participate in the Operational Business Systems Focus Group Forum.
About You
You hold a Senior Certificate and bring a minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including the interpretation of awards and enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs) in a diverse environment. Your background includes essential exposure to computerised pay systems, making you well-equipped to handle the technical aspects of the role. Additionally, you have intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with proficient keyboard and data entry skills (65 wpm) and a strong numeric aptitude.
You excel in analytical and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail in all tasks. Your effective verbal and written communication skills ensure clear and efficient interactions. With a strong customer service orientation, you consistently demonstrate initiative and integrity. You thrive in collaborative team environments and possess excellent work management and organisational skills, enabling you to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
