We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Payroll/HR Specialist (part- or full time) to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing while also contributing to the enhancement of processes and systems. If you're someone who loves diving into data, enjoys optimizing procedures, and has a genuine interest in HR topics, then this is the position for you!
- Process fortnightly and monthly payroll efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related tax lodgements, superannuation contributions, work cover payments, and other statutory obligations
- Calculate periodic financial accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Maintain meticulous records of employee information within our secure systems, adhering strictly to privacy and security guidelines
- Develop and generate regular spreadsheets and ad hoc reports as needed
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address payroll-related inquiries and provide expert guidance
- Provide administrative support for HR operations and contribute to various HR projects
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to initiatives aimed at optimizing and stabilizing payroll processes
- Experience in standalone payroll processing and HR administration
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll processes, along with proficiency in related accounting and taxation principles
- Ideally Bachelor degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting or related field
- Strong affinity for systems and processes, with a track record of optimizing workflows and driving efficiency
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Motivated self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a dynamic environment
- Highly reliable and dependable, with a track record of prioritizing and meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Genuine interest in supporting and developing in operational HR topics and projects, with a desire to make a positive impact
