About the Role
The WorkCover Payroll Specialist will calculate and make Workers Compensation payments in line with industrial instruments, enterprise agreements and FRV policy and procedures.
Functional Accountabilities include:
- Calculate and administer weekly and fortnightly payments to recipients based on information provided from Injury Connect, the insurer and claims managers including Return To Work Coordinators;
- To be aware and practice all current legislative requirements for Workers Compensation in Victoria and agreed practices as defined by FRV and our insurer, including relevant understanding of FRV Enterprise Agreements in relation to Workcover conditions;
- Provide efficient customer service to recipients and establish relationships with all stakeholders by using well developed written, oral and interpersonal skills to communicate;
- Assist with the development of work processes and continuing improvements where applicable and actively seek appropriate training to increase skills and further develop skills in Workers Compensation remuneration (Victoria);
- Provide reporting on all aspects of Workcover including reconciliations and statistics such as monthly reporting of Current Weekly Earnings (CWE) to be provided to Workplace Health and Safety for reimbursement by the insurer and to enable reconciliation of these payments.
What you will need to Succeed
- Previous experience in payroll and / or Workcover that includes experience in calculation and payment of Workers Compensation in Victoria;
- SAP and / or Pay Global experience preferred;
- Certified Payroll Specialist or tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or Human Resources.

FRV’s standard practice is to appoint at the base of the salary range, however consideration will be given to an above base salary within the advertised range based on the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
