About office
The People and Culture team provides strategic, procedural, and legislative support and advice covering – Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, Workforce Planning, Strategy and Transformation, Workplace Health and Safety, Employee Services, Recruitment, Talent Management, and HR Systems.
About role
This position supports the People Services team with a broad range of People and Culture activities. The People and Culture Advisor is responsible for the provision of generalist HR advice across all Staff at the University of Notre Dame Australia.
In this role, you will:
- Provide advice to staff of the University on relevant P&C matters including policies, procedures, guidelines, Enterprise Agreement queries, etc.
- Review recruitment requests for compliance with the Enterprise Agreement
- Maintain employee information on our system including new starters (onboarding), terminations, employee variations and relevant leave applications.
- Collaborate with the Manager People Services to develop, implement and manage a range of HR projects nationally.
- Maintain employment records, ensuring records kept up to date and maintained in accordance with the relevant legislative and University policy agreement.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification in human resources (or related field)and have generalist experience with exposure to a broad remit of HR activity.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Experience in preparing HR documentation including contracts and variation letters.
- Demonstrate high level of computer literacy and proficiency using software such as Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities.
- Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
