The Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, you will partner with key stakeholders and managers to deliver generalist HR advice and support across two manufacturing sites (Crestmead and Wacol). This role is suited to someone who enjoys a varied workday, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking for a rewarding and engaging role within a supportive team. The position is 25 hours per week over four or five days.
About The Role
The primary functions of this role will see you:
- Provide day-to-day HR advice, supporting and coaching managers through employment matters;
- Interpretation and implementation of Modern Awards, and sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act;
- Build team capability through coaching, training, and developing staff, so the team has the right skills to perform their roles;
- Manage the recruitment and selection process by working closely with hiring managers;
- Manage the HRIS ensuring a high level of accuracy and optimisation; and
- Provide expertise regarding conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, disputes, and investigations.
About you
We are ideally seeking candidates with the following:
- Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or a related field;
- Extensive experience providing HR advice and support to managers;
- Demonstrated ER/IR advisory experience (manufacturing industry experience beneficial);
- High level of oral and written communication skills;
- Solutions focussed with an ability to balance the needs of the business and employees;
- Demonstrated strength in negotiation and ability to create, develop and sustain productive partnerships with a range of stakeholders; and
- Self-directed and self-motivated.
