As the People and Customer Manager, you will collaborate with the Executive Manager, People & Customer, and the Senior Leadership Team. Your focus will be on strategic planning, organisational development, and leading transformational change to ensure Palmerston remains ‘A Place for People.’
This role provides strategic advice on customer experience, human resources, work health and safety and industrial relations to the Executive Leadership Team.
Leading the People and Customer Team, your contributions will align with the City of Palmerston Community Plan, emphasising customer-centricity and positive workplace strategies. You will champion Council’s Customer Charter, ensuring a customer-focused approach across the organisation.
You will have tertiary qualifications in human resources management/industrial relations or social/behavioral sciences, coupled with relevant experience. Essential qualities include proven leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills. Extensive knowledge of customer and people management, industrial awards, and Local Government is vital to success in this role.
A generous Remuneration Package of base salary from $130K to $145K plus private use vehicle will be negotiated based on the preferred candidate’s skills, abilities, and experience.
