Our People & Culture (P&C) team is embarking on some exciting new changes, and we’re looking for someone just like you to join us.
Based in our Belmont Head office and reporting into our amazing Head of People & Culture – Support, you’ll be putting your experience to good use supporting your wide range of colleagues right from front line Community Support Workers to corporate teams.
A rare permanent part-time position, 44 hours per fortnight, 3 days per week and flexible on which days work for you!
This is a truly varied role, and you’ll quickly establish yourself as a “go-to” person for all P&C related concerns. You’ll be supported by a highly collaborative, hard-working, and dedicated team, who strive to bring excellence in all that they do.

Each day may be a little different, and you’ll get involved in so many different activities including:
- Supporting Employee Relations Cases: You’ll handle investigations and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
- Dispute Resolution: You’ll resolve disputes and complaints in alignment with MSWA policies and procedures.
- Employee Complaints and Grievances: Investigate and address employee complaints, grievances, and conflicts.
- Training Programs: Create and drive Employee Relations training programs.
- Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews and provide valuable feedback.
- Culture Enhancement: Collaborate with the team to develop strategies that improve employee morale, engagement, and productivity.
- Performance Management: Manage discipline and performance improvement processes.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement relevant policies and procedures.
- Industry Compliance: Stay informed about industry updates to ensure compliance with awards and regulations.
- Support Colleagues: Assist compliance, and systems colleagues as needed.
“Must Haves”
- Proven Experience: You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Employee Relations or human resource case management. This expertise will be crucial in handling complex ER matters and ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Qualifications: A relevant HR qualification is essential and a professional certification in Employee Relations or Human Resources Management.
- Legal Understanding: Familiarity with the Australian employment law framework and best practices is crucial. You’ll need to interpret modern awards and enterprise agreements effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are vital. As a People & Culture professional, you’ll engage with various stakeholders, so clear communication is key.
- Team Player: A collaborative and team-oriented attitude is highly valued. You’ll work closely with colleagues to create a positive workplace culture.
- Industrial Relations Expertise: Demonstrated ability to provide industrial and workplace relations advice to various stakeholders. Your insights will contribute to maintaining a harmonious work environment.
- Independence: You should be able to work independently, making informed decisions and handling HR matters effectively.
- Privacy and Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality of sensitive information. Trust is essential in this role.
- NDIS Screening Check: If not already obtained, a willingness to complete the NDIS workers screening check is necessary.
- Current C Class Driver’s License: Having a valid C class driver’s license is an additional requirement for this role.
