People & Culture Advisor

Our People & Culture Advisor is the heart of our dealership for our team members! Entrusted with coordinating and caring for all our employees and building on the existing culture at an award-winning dealership, Chatswood Toyota. With such a large employee base, we are looking for someone to help inspire, mentor, motivate, support and advance our team to be the best that they can.

Chatswood Toyota is an established and award-winning dealership in the heart of Sydney. We operate with three site locations in Chatswood, Artarmon and Ryde with 170 employees. We are also part of Servco, one of Australia’s largest Automotive retail dealership networks in the country that spans across 29 rooftops with 1300 valued team members nationally. We are currently in an exciting phase of innovation and growth that includes a complete redevelopment of our Ryde site as well as the implementation of new technologies. 

A day in the life of our People & Culture Advisor demands high levels of positive energy. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures.

Reporting to the Managing Director, we are looking for a People and Culture Advisor to take ownership of an exciting standalone role in the HR function. You will be exposed to all facets of HR with no two days being the same. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the HR function with the support of an experienced HR team at Servco.  

• Managing end to end recruitment 
• Inducting and onboarding new employees
• Coordinating performance management 
• Coordinating employee grievances 
• Coordinating the return-to-work process for injured workers 
• Interpreting and ensuring compliance with the industry award
• Providing general advice to managers
• Coordinating employee engagement activities and benefits such as the health and wellbeing program
• Creating and publishing the staff newsletter
• Owning the HRIS system and liaising with the systems team for support

• Relevant experience in similar role
• A valid NSW drivers licence as you will be working across three sites
• Experience using Workday or a similar HRIS will be held in high regard
