People & Culture Advisor
We are a family-owned CNC manufacturing company that provides world-class, high precision and repetition component manufacturing services to the automotive, defence, aerospace, medical, security, oil and gas and commercial industries across Australia and the United States of America.
An exciting opportunity is now available for a multi-skilled People & Culture Advisor to join our team-located in Croydon, Victoria.
The successful applicant will report to the CEO and will be expected to work with minimum supervision.
The People & Culture Advisor will be responsible for facilitating all key HR functions and programs. This includes ER/IR, organisational development, WH&S, compensations and benefits, learning and development and recruitment.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Develop, implement, and deliver company HR/P&C strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate the recruitment and selection process. This includes job advertising, candidate interviewing, onboarding, and updating employee records.
- Draft and review employment agreements.
- Support with general advice on employee relations matters, including awards, compliance, and legislation.
- Oversee all aspects of Workplace Health & Safety.
- In conjunction with the Finance Department, coordinate end-to-end payroll processing, IAS and payroll tax.
- Liaise with our external HR/P&C advisory provider Employsure.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, related discipline, or equivalent comparable work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
- A positive can-do attitude and reliable employment history.
- Be committed, motivated and demonstrate excellent time-management skills.
- Experience working with awards is advantageous.
Expected Hours of work:
Permanent full-time position.
8.30am – 5.00pm Monday – Thursday, and 8.30am – 3.00pm Friday.
