Harrison Agents are the industry leaders in Real Estate across Tasmania. An exciting opportunity exists for an individual to join our team as People & Culture Manager.
As People & Culture Manager you will play a pivotal role in managing Harrison Agents human resources functions statewide, including; human resources management, employee relations, general compliance, risk management and safety compliance. This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the legislative requirements within the Property and Real Estate industry. The position will see the candidate collaborate with the CEO and Directors across the business, providing strategic and tactical advice to enable business success and compliance.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5-7 years Human Resource Management experience and holds the relevant qualifications to ensure they excel in the role.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders to understand how Human Resources can add value in organisational change and enhancing employee experience.
- Develop and implement an effective Human Resources strategy, enabling business success through fit for purpose processes and practices.
- Streamline and improve Human Resources processes and contribute to value-add projects to support continuous improvement for the individual and company.
- Oversee employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary processes and conflict resolution.
- Provide advice on obligations under Work Health and Safety Acts and Regulations nationally.
- Advise on Employment Agreements, Award conditions, Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards.
- Represent the business in unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination conciliations.
- Educate and oversee department directors on all people issues, ensuring a prompt, fair and efficient outcome.
- Ensure continued compliance and development of Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Develop and deliver compliance training for the corporate workforce.
- Lead Human Resources projects and initiatives including tracking and employee engagement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Induction of all new employees.
- Exit management.
- Actively work on recruitment of new talent across all departments of the business.
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Human Resource management, preferably within the Real Estate & Property sector.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly knowledgeable in Work Health and Safety Acts and Regulations nationally.
- A sound understanding of Real Estate & Property employment practices.
