About the Role

An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Permit Officer to join our Group Operations team at the Loy Yang Mine. We aim to be the best and most reliable supplier of brown coal in Australia.

  • Provide technical support and training in appropriate use of the permit system.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are available to perform and assist with routine and breakdown maintenance and inspections.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have similar working experience in Permitting within a Heavy Industrial setting and a ‘safety conscious’ mindset.

What you’ll bring to the table

  • A strong focus on compliance and safety, with an ability to provide technical expertise with the use of heavy mining plant and equipment.
  • A technical qualification that provides competency in the isolation of plant and allows authorisation for access to electrical equipment. (For example an A Grade Electrical Licence or other technical qualification)
  • Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in the planning, issuing, switching & close out of permits.
  • Advanced conceptual, reasoning and analytical skills in order to assess risk, develop solutions and manage priorities.
