About the opportunity
The Permits Coordinator reports to the Customer Service Manager and is part of our Permits team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to order, administrate and prepare pre-construction documentation for our clients. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and issuing all permits to ensure they are processed and issued in accordance to site start timeframes
- Regularly reviewing and ensuring process documents are up to date and implementing new processes
- Reviewing and actioning the request for further information from authorities such as councils, town planners and building surveyors
- Review all documents for services to the property
- Liaise with building surveyor, council and developers
- Liaise with other team leaders and departments for solutions
- Applying for dispensations/ HOW Insurance
- Problem solving
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose to build beautiful homes for our customers and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Permit Coordinator
- 3 years of admin experience, preferably in the building and construction industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work under pressure successfully managing multiple clients and prioritising effectively
- Sound knowledge in computer and Microsoft office skills
- Ideally some knowledge of the residential construction industry (building your own home or property management), building materials and supply and co-ordinating trades
