As a key member of the In-Market Brands (IMB) team, you will have the opportunity to drive business growth, establish strong partnerships, and deliver better patient outcomes by identifying, creating, and executing value-based solutions with strategic key accounts.

The IMB portfolio consists of over 60+ molecules across 7+ therapeutic areas and accounts for almost half of Novartis sales. We are looking for someone with a relentless hunter mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.

Your Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key strategic customers, including retail pharmacies and banner groups. Understand their specific needs, challenges, and objectives to effectively support their goals.
• Patient Adherence: Develop and implement strategies to improve patient adherence to medication regimens. Collaborate with retail pharmacy customers to identify barriers and provide solutions to enhance patient engagement and compliance.
• Product Access and Education: Ensure that retail pharmacy customers have access to a wide range of pharmaceutical products. Provide education and training to pharmacy staff on product knowledge, usage, and benefits, thereby enhancing their ability to provide accurate information to customers.
• Commercial Offerings: Identify opportunities to enhance commercial offerings, such as partnerships, promotions, and exclusive deals, to drive revenue growth and increase market share. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute these offerings effectively.
• Execution and Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate the execution of strategies and initiatives across retail pharmacy customers. Analyze performance metrics, such as sales, market share, and customer feedback, to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to align strategies and ensure seamless execution across all customer touchpoints. Collaborate on joint initiatives to maximize customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
• Compliance with policies and ethical standards: Ensure that all activities comply with company policies, MA Code, relevant Acts, legal demands, and ethical standards. This includes adhering to Novartis Code of Ethics, BeSure requirements, and Medicines Australia guidelines.
• Reporting adverse events: Promptly report any adverse events to the PV department in accordance with company procedures. This ensures patient safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Role Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and significant relevant experience and/or qualifications required.
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, account management, or related roles, preferably within the retail pharmacy industry.
• Deep understanding of the retail pharmacy landscape and the challenges faced by pharmacy customers.
• Strong experience (3-5 years) across B2B and or C-Suite customer facing roles the pharmaceutical, consumer health, medical device industries is desirable. Portfolio selling is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry including knowledge of pharmacy channel, hospital networks, PBS price disclosure, and market dynamics.
• High commercial acumen and proactive focus on delivering outcomes.
• Advanced negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
• Confidence and Executive Presence.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Excellent financial literacy and analytical capacity.
• Understanding of business intelligence platforms including IQVIA, Nostradata, PBS10%, is desirable.
• Strong experience within a matrix organisation to influence without authority.
