As our Physical Trading Strategy Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of our dynamic team, driving strategic coordination across trading desks and elevating commercial outcomes. Your role is instrumental in positioning our physical assets strategically, maximising gross margins, and ensuring our competitive edge in energy and ancillary service markets. Duties include the below, but are not limited to:Co-ordinate, develop, and implement the baseline Physical Trading Strategy across energy and ancillary service markets;Maximise daily gross margin through optimal dispatch of CS Energy’s available assets in adherence to the National Electricity Rules;Collaborate with Physical Traders, Market Analysts, Energy Traders, Revenue Strategy team members, and site operational teams to gather and analyse information for strategy development;Utilise performance and compliance monitoring tools to review and enhance bidding strategies, driving continuous improvement in Physical Trading activities;Work closely with the IT team to ensure the development and deployment of appropriate trading tools that support day-to-day Physical Trading activities.What’s in it for youAn exciting time to join the Energy Industry with numerous new renewable energy projects underwayCompetitive salary and benefits on offer with 12.75 per cent employer superannuation and an annual incentive paymentHybrid flexible working environment with brand new offices in Fortitude Valley close to the train station. About You To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience: Degree level qualifications in a relevant discipline such as economics or commerce environment;Thorough understanding of the National Electricity Market and how it operates;Detailed knowledge of the National Electricity Rules, related regulations and Corporations Act within a trading environment;Ability to influence others and deliver outcomes within the Revenue Strategy team and Operations team;Strong commercial skills;Ability to comprehend multiple sources of data and utilise this information to inform trading decisions;Ability to fulfil the Physical Trading Manager’s role when absent.
