Exciting Physiotherapy opportunity in Neurological Rehabilitation

The Role

• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in the assessment, planning and delivery of rehabilitation physiotherapy services for clients and their carers referred to the Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU).
• Assist Senior Physiotherapists in ensuring best practice standards for Physiotherapy services provided by CRU, as well as contributing to quality improvement activities within the physiotherapy and wider CRU teams.
• Deliver contemporary rehabilitation interventions to maximise independence for community rehabilitation clients.

The CRU Team and Service

• The Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist to join our team and build and develop their skills and knowledge in rehabilitation.
• CRU is an adult outpatient rehabilitation service working with clients with a diverse range of diagnostic conditions.
• Work as part of a supportive interdisciplinary team with a focus on client centred goal setting, rehabilitation planning and program delivery.
• Located at the Repatriation Centre, 90 Davey Street, Hobart

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary 

$71,441 - $107,878 per annum + our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum.
• Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

• Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
• Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

• Current Driver's Licence

Applicants should note the position features:

• Travel within Southern Tasmania may be a requirement of this role. 

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

• crimes of violence
• sex related offences
• serious drug offences
• crimes involving dishonesty.
