We are looking for a Physiotherapy Head of Department to join our team at Murwillumbah District Hospital providing advanced clinical services and leading the delivery of site-based physiotherapy services. The Deputy Department Head supports the operational, strategic and professional management of clinical staff under the leadership of the Head of Department.
If you have/are:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). To be appointed as a Level 5 Health Professional, evidence must be provided of at least three years' clinical experience and demonstrated extensive specialist knowledge within the discipline as defined by the award definitions of a level 5 practitioner.
- Leadership in effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others
- Management experience in Human Resource Management, Finance, Workplace Health and Safety, Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement and proven ability to lead a team to achieve outcomes
- Leadership to utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care
