About the Role
As a Place – Making Manager you will be responsible for creating and improving the places where people live, work, and play. Presents you with an exciting opportunities for innovative place-making initiatives that enhance the quality of life for the residents and foster economic development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage the scoping, programming, and delivery of place-making projects
- Develop and implement implementation strategies to achieve defined goals and outcomes
- Engage with stakeholders including government bodies, businesses, and community members to gather feedback and advocate for investment opportunities
- Provide high-quality urban design and strategic planning advice to support decision-making processes
- Monitor project delivery, ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and mitigate risks
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, or a related field
- Proven experience in project management, urban design, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- Knowledge of urban design principles and trends
- Experience in pursuing funding opportunities for place-making initiatives is desirable
- Valid C class driver's license required for employment in this position.
