Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planning and Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Planning and procurement processes to ensure efficient supply chain management and timely delivery of raw materials for our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost-effectiveness and minimize supply chain risks.
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Coordinate with manufacturing, inventory and sales teams to maintain the forecast system allowing MRP and production scheduling.
Monitor raw material and packaging inventory levels and track supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
Negotiate and arrange inbound overseas and domestic transport and logistics.
Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve supply chain issues and implement best practices.
Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports.
Back up to outbound logistics
Requirements
Proven experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong working knowledge and experience using ERP and MRP Systems ie. Netsuite
Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft suite in general.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
