The Position Working within AlburyCity’s Fleet & Supply team the Plant Hire and Inventory Control Officer plays a key role in facilitating Council’s internal and external Plant Hire management systems and in supporting operational supply activities.
Working 38 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO

Qualifications in Plant Hire or equivalent relevant experience.
Qualifications in Inventory Control, logistics or equivalent relevant experience.
Class C Drivers licence (compulsory to have and maintain).
Experience in Plant Hire operations.
Experience in warehousing and/or supply operations.
Experience in local government procurement or relevant organisation.
Tasks & responsibilities
Coordinate, deploy and manage all external hire for minor plant, major plant, trucks and vehicles.
Implement, administer and monitor Council’s external Plant Hire contracts.
Implement, develop and maintain centralised Council plant and vehicle booking system.
Maximise internal Plant Hire utilisation through better management and coordination of operational Plant Hire requirements.
Ensure utilisation of plant is maximised through internal cross utilisation.
Ensure all hired plant complies with WHS regulations pertaining to hire plant.
Hours Based on a 38 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm with a Rostered Day Off (RDO) in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines. These times may vary due to operational requirements and will be determined by the supervisor.
