About the role
We are looking for an experienced and talented Pilot Plant Manager to manage our brand new pilot plant facility in Alexandria, NSW. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing plant operations, implementing operational strategies, helping coordinate implementing & adhering to HSE guidelines, creating production plans, and managing manufacturing operations. Our pilot plant will have an output range from 50-400 kg per year, depending on our scale-up.
Given the technical aspects of our pilot plant facility, this position could suit a previous Pilot Plant Manager, Plant Engineer, Production Engineer, Operations Engineer, OPEX Engineer or Project Engineer background.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all activities involved in operating and maintaining the pilot plant facility at Burrows Road. This facility involves numerous different pilot plant skids that are designed to extract Lithium Carbonate from Spodumene.
- Create, undertake and manage operating, maintenance and inventory management procedures.
- Manage safe working procedures and all required OHS requirements. Ensure all safety protocols are followed and help create safety documentation.
- Report to management on the facility condition, information systems and testing / operating progress.
- Creating reports, specifications, tracking sheets, registers etc. as required for the management and operation of the facility.
- Commissioning and installation of industrial processing equipment.
Qualifications
- Highly experienced with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 - QA & Occupational Health and Safety procedures and protocols.
- Experience with ISO 14001 - Environment management systems advantageous.
- Experience in working on and running industrial sites with supercritical gases and high pressure, high temperature equipment.
- Chemical processing background advantageous.
- Pilot Plant experience is ideal, but not required.
