The Plant Metallurgist at Iron Bridge will play a pivotal role in optimising and enhancing the ore processing facility's operational efficiency. This dynamic position involves providing operational guidance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting processes, and implementing innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities- Identify, develop and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Review operational performance to provide technical guidance to the Operations team
- Develop, manage and execute plant trials and test work programs and conduct data analysis
- Review flowsheets, mass balances, process design criteria and other deliverables.
- Manage and review metallurgical accounting and consumables.
- Support commissioning and ramp-up schedule.
- Actively contribute to daily pre-start safety and weekly toolbox meetings
- Assist in accident/incident investigations and corrective actions
- Tertiary Qualification - Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Advanced computer literacy including process data historian, SAP, Tableau
- Knowledge of dry and wet mineral processing operations
- Knowledge of metallurgical testing methods and lab operations
- Proficient in metallurgical accounting including mass and water balancing
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
