About the position:
The Backhoe operator will be responsible for the safe operationand maintenance of the machinery and will be required to performphysical labouring duties in periods of low plantoperation.
- This is a permanent full-time position based at the Greenmount Depot.
- The base salary for this position is $1129.62 gross per week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- In addition to the base wage rate, variable allowances are available (for example - on call, over time, wet weather).

You must have Licences/Qualifications:
- Possession of a current “HR” Driver’s Licence.
- WHS Certificate of Competency for “LB” - Backhoe (>2L engine capacity.
- WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent.
- Experience in operating related plant, including driving and operating trucks, on construction sites.
Desirable Licences/Qualifications
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LL’ – Front-End Loader (>2L engine capacity)
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LR’ – Road Roller (>2L engine capacity).
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LE’ – Excavator (>2L engine capacity).
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LG’ – Grader.
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LS’ – Skid Steer Loader (>2L engine capacity).
- Traffic Control Accreditation.
- Traffic Management Implementation (MUTCD).
- Authorised Persons Certificate for Working Near Powerlines.
- Forklift ‘LF’ Class High Risk work licence.
- High Risk Work Dogging (DG) Licence.
NOTE: The Construction and Maintenance team will assistCouncil employee's to obtain multiple competencies of the desirablelicences/qualifications within twelve (12) months ofcommencement.
