About the position:
The Plant Operator (Crane Truck) position is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment, such as Council’s Crane Truck to ensure the delivery of construction and maintenance projects within the Toowoomba Region.
- This is a permanent full-time position based at the Charlton Depot.
- The base salary for this position is $1,107.5291 gross per week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- In addition to the base wage rate, variable allowances are available (for example - on call, over time, asbestos allowances, wet weather).
- This position participates in a nine (9) day fortnight working arrangement.

How to be successful in this position:
Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the role:
- Current Vehicle loading crane “CV” class high risk work licence
- Current unrestricted “MR” Class Driver’s Licence
- WH&S Competency Card for CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, – issued after 11/05/2009, or a willingness to obtain this card before commencement
- Significant experience in related crane operations
- Current Dogger “DG” class high risk work licence is desirable or the ability to obtain within 12 months of commencement
- Current unrestricted “HR” Class Driver’s Licence is desirable or the ability to obtain within 12 months of commencement.
